Career Connections Initiative

A technologically skilled workforce is critical to business prosperity in the Upper Eastern Shore region – and these technology skills will only grow more important as time progresses.

The USMBC Career Connections Initiative includes a number of complementary programs bringing together employers, employees, educational institutions and students to build a technically skilled workforce on the Upper Eastern Shore.

Our programs include:

• Career development programs to enlighten teachers on business careers and provide advanced courses in manufacturing technology for high school students.  
• Workplace readiness and field trip programs for students to help them directly experience the real world of manufacturing.
