CHESAPEAKE COLLEGE OFFERS MANAGEMENT INSTITUTE SPRING 2010

The Management Institute was designed by Chesapeake College and Upper Shore Manufacturing & Business Council (USMBC) member companies to provide training for new and experienced supervisors and managers.  Over fifty companies have participated, sending over 350 employees through the Institute.

Offered through Chesapeake College, the Management Institute, includes 48-hours of specific management instruction and is designed to focus on the many aspects of effective supervision and management.  The course content will be customized to meet the specific needs of the participants.  Training will provide participants with the skills and knowledge they need to perform their jobs more effectively.  The Management Institute is scheduled on Wednesdays, March 31 to May 5 (6 sessions) from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 

 The Management Institute is designed to help managers unlock their leadership potential by:

  • Broadening their knowledge base and perspectives
  • Learning new skills and sharpening existing skills
  • Developing Individual Action Plans to capitalize on their strengths and work on areas for improvement
  • Applying new concepts to increase their effectiveness
  • Challenging themselves as managers and leaders
  • Building a network of support
