Jackie Potter, Executive DirectorPhoto of Jackie Potter, Executive Director

Jackie Potter is executive director of the Upper Shore Manufacturing & Business Council, a position she has held for the past 15 years.  She is also on the administrative staff at Chesapeake College, serving as executive director of the school’s Division of Continuing Education & Workforce Training. Before joining Chesapeake College in 2003, Jackie served as director of the Society of Fellows for Aspen Institute in Wye Mills, MD.

Jackie has served on the board of directors of Shore Leadership, and as President of the Maryland Community College Association for Continuing Education & Training. She is a member of the Maryland T.I.M.E. Center, the Chesapeake Women’s Network, and has served on the education committee of the Queen Anne’s Chamber of Commerce.

A native of Maryland’s Eastern Shore and a graduate of Chesapeake College, Jackie and her family raise Appaloosa horses and Chesapeake Bay retrievers on the family farm. They have enjoyed their involvement over years with 4-H and FFA activities at the county, state and national level.

Leanne Allen, Administrative DirectorPhoto of Leanne Allen

Leanne Allen is the administrative director of the Upper Shore Manufacturing & Business Council.  She is also director of fiscal and program compliance for the Continuing Education & Workforce Training Division at Chesapeake College. Prior to joining the USMBC and Chesapeake College in 2006, Leanne held administrative positions in government, including service as Main Street manager for the town of Denton, MD, and as former office manager for Maryland State Delegate John P. Donoghue.

Leanne is a graduate of Hagerstown Community College and Western Maryland College (McDaniel College), and holds a master’s degree from Mt. St. Mary’s College. In addition to enjoying family life on the Eastern Shore, she is very involved in community activities and is currently president of the Memorial Hospital Association (Shore Health) in Easton, MD.
